A diverse and inclusive workplace
We know that the more diverse we are, the better our ideas, strategies and client solutions. Inclusion underpins our creativity and innovation, enabling us to bring greater value for our clients and our communities.
Valuing differences
We aim to provide all of our people with an equal opportunity to build a career that reflects their ability and passions. To achieve this, we acknowledge that how we think and the decisions we make are affected by our unconscious biases so we’re actively working to identify and mitigate unconscious bias in some of our most important processes.
Enhancing our gender diversity
We believe that it is critical to the sustainability of our industry and our business that we have more women across all levels. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports women to succeed, and are a founding member of the Diversity Agenda; focused on creating greater gender balance in architecture and engineering.
Enhancing cultural diversity
Our employees come from a diversity of cultures, enhancing our creativity and strengthening our solutions. We actively celebrate cultural diversity across Beca and are committed to enhancing our cultural diversity further. We have numerous initiatives underway to support this already, including a partnership with the South Pacific Indigenous Engineering Students (SPIES) to support Maori and Pasifika students as they transition into their engineering careers, and the Beca Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which offers employment, training, business partnerships and increase cultural awareness and understand of First Australians.

Rainbow Tick certified
The Rainbow Tick programme is a continual quality improvement programme designed to help an organisation provide a safe and welcoming workplace for employees in the Rainbow community.
We have an established Rainbow Network, which is a group of LGBTQI+ people who are committed to making sure all members of our rainbow community can bring their whole selves to work and truly belong at Beca. We also work together and with industry partners to further these goals, to help make everyday better for our people and for the communities we touch.
