Beca’s aviation team is ready and willing to help our Airport clients navigate the new environment we are all now operating in, with COVID-19 bringing unforeseen challenge and uncertainty to the market like never before.
We are here to help businesses with new and innovative solutions to unprecedented problems, and to work together to identify and develop the opportunities ahead.
This includes working on such challenges as changes in security and health and safety procedures, the safe inspection, maintenance and optimisation of key assets, and embracing sustainable, resilient and carbon-sensitive design.
In some case we are assisting our clients to accelerate essential maintenance projects while aircraft movements are reduced. In other cases, we are helping them plan for the future, in preparation for tourism and aviation activities rebuilding once again.
With this background, we are delighted to announce the further strengthening and leadership of our Aviation team.
We are pleased to welcome John Marsh back to Beca as Market Director – Aviation, after time out pursuing personal and family interests. John (pictured at bottom right) will be focusing on growing new business through broadening and diversifying the services we provide, together with playing a key technical role in some of the critical airfield projects we deliver. John took up this role from March 2020.
Richard Holyoake (pictured at bottom left), our Market Leader – Aviation, will continue to oversee this important market sector for Beca, with a particular focus on the growth and success of our business in Australia.
John and Richard will work closely on an integrated market strategy for airports and aviation across Beca’s different geographies, and lead a combined team of over 100 professionals across a wide range of disciplines. John and Richard will also continue to be supported by, and work closely with, a wide range of technical and delivery leaders, in particular Craig Downey who leads our Australian aviation business.
Despite current restrictions, airports will return to growth into the future, and it is a market that Beca is proud to support. By further deepening our engagement, partnership and collaboration with customers and stakeholders, and continuing to deliver on our promise of technical excellence, innovative and sustainable design, we will get through this challenging time together.
