Our Beca team always focuses on how we can make a difference for our clients and our communities. The development of our purpose, led by our Chief Strategy and Operations Officer, Don Lyon, and tiger teams across Beca, brought many hundreds of us together to discuss what gets us out of bed and into work every day. Our purpose was launched in December 2017, to ‘make everyday better’ and our whole team rallied around it.
So we were excited to learn that our internal and external communications around our purpose, which involved Beca teams globally, have been recognised with an international business communication award - a 2020 Gold Quill Award of Excellence from the IABC (International Association of Business Communicators).
We were one of hundreds of business and organisations from around the globe who entered the prestigious IABC awards for strategic communications and public relations professionals. The judges commended our clear, simple and engaging message and our ability to build that messaging into our people’s everyday interactions and communications.
This year a virtual gala event will be held on 16 June 2020 to recognise award winners with trophies received by mail.
