Beca is proud to have three of its Technical Leaders Marvin Clough, Audrina Stanley and John Oscilowski awarded industry fellowships recognising their distinguished careers and excellence in technical delivery.

Marvin Clough – PINZ Fellow

Marvin Clough was awarded fellowship with the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ) at their recently held annual conference.

PINZ recognises the contribution of its members to the Institute and the industry over an extended period. Marvin is one of the very few who have been chosen for the accolade this year. A fantastic recognition for Marvin!

In response to his impressive achievement, Marvin said, “I’m overwhelmed and humbled by this award from my peers in the industry. It’s not something you’re always thinking about attaining, but it’s great to have PINZ recognise the work we do for our community and with our Beca team. Being a consultant is about helping people, and this is a door-opener and an enabler to keep doing great work.”

Marvin has worked at Beca for almost 20 years, starting in asset management and plant & infrastructure valuations. In his current role as a, Technical Director – Valuations, Marvin’s focus is on growing Beca’s offering in innovative valuation services and progressive technical solutions. He’s been a PINZ member since 2003, often presenting at their conferences and serving on national committees.

Audrina Stanley and John Oscilowski – NZIQS Fellows

Audrina Stanley and John Oscilowski were awarded fellowships with the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS) at their annual conference earlier this month.

Fellows must be nominated by three senior members of NZIQS after they’ve been practicing for more than 10 years.

Audrina has worked at Beca for almost six years, following quantity surveying roles at Naylor Love, Mainzeal, and McKee Fehl. Audrina’s fellowship was awarded for her long service to the industry and NZIQS. She sits on the NZIQS membership committee evaluating applications from students and professionals.

In receiving her fellowship, Audrina commented, “The award is a great recognition of being deeply involved in the QS profession. I’m looking forward to working closely with our clients and continuing to provide strategic advice that leads to better outcomes for Beca’s projects and our industry.”

During John’s 35 years as a Quantity Surveyor, he has influenced the QS profession to balance strong technical advice with softer skills like facilitation, communication, and problem solving. He joined Beca over 10 years ago and has been our National Cost Management Lead for six years.

John is a major supporter of the NZIQS membership process for all QS professionals in our industry, has previously served on the NZIQS membership committee, and often provides advice on membership applications and improvements.

On accepting his accolade, John said “I’m proud to be recognised in this way. Being named a fellow acknowledges that you’ve been a long-term contributor to NZIQS and are dedicated to the discipline. Being a QS has given me opportunities to work with fantastic people in many companies and countries, which I’m grateful for. My focus now is building a legacy – providing a clear path and setting an example for young QSs by improving working standards and accelerating technical capability at Beca across the country.”

A fantastic recognition of Marvin, Audrina, and John’s dedication to the industry and professional institutes over the course of their careers. We wish them all the best as they continue to make a positive contribution in the years ahead. Find out more about PINZ here, and more about NZIQS here
