For a second year, Beca has partnered with Callaghan Innovation to bring game-changing Industry 4.0 technologies to the doorstep of businesses of all sectors across New Zealand – from manufacturers and industrial facilities to food processors and distributors.
Delivered by the Industry 4.0 Demonstration Network, the Industry 4.0 Mobile Showcase will be touring New Zealand again, starting with the Southern regions from July to October, offering businesses the opportunity to engage, learn, and be inspired by the exciting possibilities of Industry 4.0.
Industry 4.0 technologies like digital twins, internet of things, collaborative robotics, artificial intelligence, AR and VR, and 3D printing are enhancing profitability, performance, outputs, monitoring and control of manufacturing processes. The showcase is for anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of these technologies and experience them first-hand in an interactive environment – demonstrated by a Beca Digital Consultant.
Sue Bradley – General Manager, Industrial Digital at Beca says that advanced technologies and processes, such as Industry 4.0, are vitally important to our economy and society by enabling companies to lift productivity and wages.
“The Industry 4.0 Mobile Showcase is helping New Zealanders, both at work and at school, understand more about the potential for them. We’re excited to see the uptake slowly shifting over time, as the conversations move more from ‘what is that’ to ‘show me some examples’ to ‘help me understand how I can apply it in my business’.”
The Mobile Showcase will be touring New Zealand until December 2022. It’s free to attend a scheduled public event, or host your own – tailored to your business.
