Sarah Lang, Business Director – Government Advisory & Strategic Relationships, has won the inaugural Supplier Diversity Advocate Award at the 2024 Amotai Awards.
Amotai works to connect Māori and Pasifika-owned businesses with buyers across Aotearoa to create more inclusive and equitable supply chains. This award recognises an Amotai buyer organisation who has driven supplier diversity growth and development within their organisation and/or the Māori and Pasifika business sector.With over 30 years’ experience across public and private sectors and not-for-profit organisations, Sarah has been instrumental in increasing opportunities for Amotai Māori and Pasifika businesses. Sarah champions supplier diversity at Beca, within client organisations and across the wider infrastructure sector through training, workshops, and knowledge sharing. She leads key business relationships with stakeholders, associations, and Iwi and Pasifika groups and continuously challenges the industry to do more in this space for the betterment of Aotearoa.
Over the past three years, with Sarah’s leadership, Beca has been an active member and strong supporter of Amotai, sponsoring numerous regional events and the Amotai Supplier Diversity Summit.
