Taituarā is Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading membership network for local government professionals, driven to support local government excellence through connection, collaboration and care for the wellbeing of our communities. That kaupapa aligns perfectly with Beca’s purpose to make everyday better. We’ve worked alongside local government and its communities for over 100 years in New Zealand, and this partnership forms part of our intention to keep doing that now, and for generations to come.

Beca will support Taituarā in delivering services that strengthen capability and empower local government professionals to make an impact in their communities. Beca joins partners Simpson Grierson, PwC, Civic Financial Services, and Marsh, with a shared commitment to fostering expertise and excellence in the sector.

The partnership will work to better support Taituarā members and the wider community through increased knowledge and access to design, advisory and engineering, as well as helping local government professionals address diverse community challenges effectively.

“A partnership between Beca and Taituarā felt like a natural fit,” said Beca’s Director for Local Government, Sanchia Jacobs.

“We both have an enduring commitment to a better Aotearoa, evidenced by a long history of working with local authorities to deliver sustainable, long-term outcomes that help build thriving and resilient communities,” she said.

“We appreciate that local government operates in a very dynamic environment and firmly believe that by working in partnership we can support the sector to continue to deliver great outcomes.”

“Taituarā plays a critical role in supporting local government professionals to be the very best they can be, and we look forward to working together to support that kaupapa for the betterment of all New Zealand.”

Taituarā Chief Executive, Suzanne Boyd, expressed her enthusiasm about the new partnership.

"We are committed to partnering with organisations that share our values and dedication in supporting local government," she said.

"Beca's support allows us to deliver continued value to our members and contribute to a thriving sector overall. I look forward to a collaborative partnership with Beca that delivers mutually beneficial results for our sector."
