Technology and innovation – reshaping the energy sector at the 2019 EEA conference
New Zealand’s largest technical power industry event took place on 25-27 June, and we were pleased to have three Beca people presenting papers during the two-day conference.
Focussing on how New Zealand can deliver a low carbon economy, smart energy and enable emerging technologies, the event brought together national and international thought leaders, innovators, engineering practitioners, regulators and leading technology companies.
Our presenters were:
Niall Smith – ‘Replace and renew – two projects to keep Ravensdown connected and the turbine running’
Catherine Ross, Transpower with Glenn Jowett – ‘Transpower’s approach to preparing for a possible BIM future’
Anastasiya Verbytska (on behalf of University of Canterbury) – ‘Using surplus electricity to produce green hydrogen’
