Auckland’s population continues to grow. We’re living longer, and we're welcoming new people to our city every day. We’re helping Auckland’s district health boards to keep up with new demand on our city's health services.
For more than two decades we’ve provided a range of multi-disciplinary services to Auckland, Counties Manukau and Waitemata District Health Boards (DHBs). Back in 2003, our innovative design solutions contributed to the success of one of New Zealand’s largest healthcare developments, which brought together three separate hospitals into one acute services building at Auckland City Hospital.
We’ve worked with Counties Manukau on some of their biggest upgrades, including the award-winning Harley Gray Building; and over the years, we’ve helped maximise infrastructure assets across all healthcare facilities.
As our population gets older and Auckland continues to expand, we are supporting the DHBs to plan for the future. We’ve analysed the critical functions of hospitals, clinical and care centres, and assessed the risks and consequences to the provision of health services should the infrastructure assets that serve them fail. This has enabled the DHBs to apply for critical funding.
Together, we’ve laid down the foundation for investment and looked at how to service space efficiently across increasingly constrained hospital campuses. And, we’ll continue to provide advice on how best to manage risk and take advantage of the opportunities presented by business continuity and resilience planning.
