Since opening in mid-2022 near Punggol MRT station in the North-East region of Singapore, One Punggol is a 45,100m2 civic facility that serves as a one-stop community and lifestyle hub for over 200,000 residents in Punggol New Town.

Beca worked alongside DP architect, providing civil and structural engineering to bring this project to life. The five-storey integrated town hub boasts a slew of public facilities for everyone, including a library, food centre, multipurpose sports hall, childcare centre, and senior care centre.

Our team tackled interesting structural challenges including carrying out works within Sam Kee LRT and LTA rail reserve lines to meet the stringent requirements set by the Land Transport Authority (LTA), and designing long span structure supporting the facilities, multipurpose hall, and open plaza canopy hall. Our design engineers also resolved challenges by coming up with practical technical solutions.

Conveniently connected to the town square, retail mall and residential blocks by walking paths, One Punggol is poised to enhance the vibrancy and vitality of this thriving and rapidly growing community.
